Fish Huasteca Style

Ingredients

1 ½ kilogram of Fish slices

6 cups of Fish broth or water

5 Aguyo leaves

3 Small onions

2 Garlic cloves

6 Large lettuce leaves

4 Avocado leaves

100 grams of Corn dough

6 tablespoons of Olive oil

Serrano chilies

Salt and cilantro

Preparation

Step 1 : The aguyo leaves are deveined and ground together with the chilies, onions, cilantro, garlic, lettuce leaves, and avocado leaves.

Step 2 : Set this mixture aside.

Step 3 : The corn dough is mixed with oil and a little salt.

Step 4 : Form small balls about the size of an olive, slightly flatten the center, and set aside.

Step 5 : In a skillet, fry the ground mixture in 6 tablespoons of olive oil.

Step 6 : Then add 6 cups of fish broth or water.

Step 7 : Once it begins to boil, add the fish and the dough balls.

Step 8 : It is important not to stir the sauce to prevent the fish and dough balls from breaking apart.

Step 9 : Cook on medium heat for approximately 15 minutes.

Step 10 : Serve the dish very hot to enjoy it at its best.
